• Athamas- King of the Greeks, got remarried by
  Princess Ino
• Nephele- Athamas first wife she got the children
  out of the marriage
• Hermes
• Cadmus- King of Thebes, his daughter was Princess
  Ino
• Helle- Daughter of Athamas and Nephele, she
  drowned in the Unfriendly Sea
• King Eetes- He is the King of Colchis
• Phrixus- searches for the fleece because he wants
  his kingdom back

• Pelias- cousin of Phrixus, took away his uncles
  kingdom
• Jason- The Kings young son, was the rightful
  heir to the kingdom
• Harpies- Flying creatures with hocked beaks and
  claws
• Amazons- Daughters of the nymph Harmony and
  there father was Ares
• Madea- Is the daughter of the King Aeetes
• Aeetes- Rules the city Colchis know as the
  country of the golden fleece

SUMMARY

• Phrixus was the rightful king of Greece. But his
  nephew Pelias stole the kingdom and killed
  Phrixus.
• Phrixus wife was scared for her daughter and son
  so she got a ram and a golden fleece and prayed
  to Zeus to save her son and daughter.
• Zeus as always feels pity and sends Hermes
  (messenger god) to pick up and carry Jason and
  his sister.

CITY OF COLCHIS

• Hermes flies over the Black Sea
• Jasons sister,Helle, falls and drowns in the
  Black Sea
• But all is not lost Jason arrives at a city
  called Colchis.
• The people there hated new comers and were
  fierce, but they welcomed the child and Aeetes
• The king took care of them.
• As gratitude, Jason sacrificed the ram for the
  gods and gave the golden fleece to the king.

JASON CONFRONTS HIS EVIL NEPHEW

• Back at his old kingdom, Palies Jasons evil
  nephew, goes to a sorcerer and the sorcerer tells
  him that he will die in the hands of a kinsman
  wearing one sandal.
• Jason came back to his kingdom and his nephew
  asked him, who are you and what is your fathers
  country.
• Then he realized that he was wearing only one
  sandal.
• Jason said back, I have returned to take my
  country back so tack all your money and stuff and
  leave.
• But Palies had a proposal you get the golden
  fleece and give it to me I will give you the
  kingdom.

GATHERING MEMBERS FOR THE BOAT

• Jason agreed and Pelias bought the finest boat
  and would hire any man that Jason wanted to take
  with him.
• Hercules came the finest warrior, Orpheus also
  came the finest musician, Castor with his brother
  Pollux, Peleus Achilles father, and others.
• The boat was named Argo and the left the docks
  and into the sea .
• Hera helped guided them

DISASTERS

• A few weeks into the sea, they landed on a island
  were only women lived because they had killed all
  the men, but left the king live and sailed him
  out.
• When Jason and the others came, they were kind to
  them they gave them food wine cloths and
  garments.
• Later they sailed away without Hercules who
  stayed behind.
• Later Hylas, who wore his armor, was pulled in
  the sea by a nymph who wanted to kiss him and was
  never found again.

WORST DISASTERS

• They landed on an another island, but there was a
  old man named Phineus living there.
• He was blessed by Apollo and could foretell the
  future.
• But he upset Zeus, so ever time he was about to
  eat, harpies world come out of the air and snatch
  up his food.
• So Jason felt pity on him and helped him.
• He new that two men on the Argo could help him
• The sons of Boreas felt pity and agreed to help
  him.

THE FIGHT WITH THE HARPIES

• Jason and his companions set up a big meal for
  Phineus and Boreas sons took their place around
  the dinner table.
• When the bread touched Phineus lips, the harpies
  came down.
• When the harpies stole the food the two brothers
  were on their tail.
• When they caught up, they would have killed all
  of them, but before Iris, the rainbow god, told
  them not to.
• Zeus would leave the man in piece.

A WARNING FROM PHINEUS

• Phineus warned all the troubles ahead of Jason
  and especially the clashing of the rocks.
• They were to let a dove fly through the massive
  wall and if it made it they would pass, but if it
  didnt pass than they would die.
• So next day they went to those giant rocks.
• They sent the dove in first, the dove came out
  with just the tail end plucked off.
• So the sailors went in, and as it went through,
  its tail was torn off.
• But never again did the rocks move.

THE CITY FINDS STRANGERS

• After the giant wall they saw land and reached
  it.
• Jason and his crew started for the city and on
  the way they saw many deadly and beautiful
  mystical beasts.
• They finally found the city.
• The Clochians talked about the new comers and the
  king heard and at once he came to the new comers.

FACE TO FACE

• Jason wanted the golden Fleece but the king hated
  new comers as much as Greece hated Troy.
• So the king got an idea if he can wrestle two
  wild bulls and put the harness on and then plant
  dragon teeth in the ground which would make a
  group of dragon men.
• He must kill them all to gain the golden fleece.

THE OINTMENT

• Later the Princess of Corinth saw the beautiful
  prince.
• Hera asked Cupid to shoot the Princess to fall in
  love with Jason.
• Jason was then engaged to the Princess of
  Corinth.

A FATAL ENDING

• Madea got revenge on Jason by killing his bride
  another princess then killed her children the
  gods felt pity and took her away.
• She killed the princess by putting flame ointment
  on her dress
• When Jason found out that they killed his bride,
  he tried to kill the Princess of the Cochlians .
• Madea left on a chariot with dragons off the roof
  of her house.
