Life Cycle

• Mating late fall early winter
• Leave one another and return to their solitary
  lives
• After about two months the female finds a
  protected den
• gives birth to a litter of two
• Comes an adult 8or 9 months
• Live 12 to 13 years in the wild

Habitat/Shelter

• United States far north as Canada as far south as
  Mexico
• Forests, woods, swamps, mountains and deserts
• Make den under logs, thickets or in hollow trees

Diet

• Squirrels, rats, mice, birds, fish and small deer
• Carnivores
• Listens for small animals under brush
• Finds a hiding spot and waits patiently for prey
• Can only eat about 3 pounds of meat at one point
• Kittens only drink mothers milk

Adaptation

• Teeth to grip back of neck
• When catch big prey will eat some and store the
  rest for later
• Black tufted ears
• Spotted coat
• Fur on its side of its face

Fun Unusual

• As fast as a cheetah
• There are laws that you can only hunt at a
  certain time
• Trap a certain amount
