    underprivileged children instead of going to Law
    or Business school like all of his friends. His
    father pretty much disowned him for his choices.
    He moved to the U.S. to give Chi opportunity.
  • Is he obliged to secure the riches, prestige,
    and job security that his ancestors never dreamt
    of? Does he owe that to his family and his
    heritage? Or is this opportunity a chance for
    more than material gain is it a chance to do
    something great, to be great?

Knew it
  • She always knew she wanted to practice medicine
    her father was a famous cardiologist although
    he never pressured her, he was a great role
    model. Years later when she finally left medicine
    she asked how people manage to not feel like
    that first part of their life was anything but a
    complete waste of time? If the genuine part of
    their life came later, what of this early part?
  • Po responded they learn from it. As long as they
    are able to transform it into a lesson which they
    can now apply.

    development, create a life line and include any
    significant points or people that have influenced
    you and your decisions. Also include a
    hypothetical future that you anticipate (10pts).
  • Write a brief reaction (1-2 pages) to your
    insights and how contextualizing your life line
    might affect your future decisions (10 pts).

    three generations (you, your parents and
    grandparents add children if you have them).
    Include names, dates, and their primary and/or
    preferred career choices (10pts).
  • Write a brief reaction (1-2 pages) to the
    insights gained and whether or not this
    understanding of your family history helped you
    understand the influences in your life and your
    own career choice better (10pts).
