Welcome to the World of Baseball!

• You are about to embark on a journey through the
  halls of baseball. You will explore the different
  leagues, past and present, of the great American
  pastime.
• There are 4 aspects of baseball to discover.
• There are 3 tasks for you to accomplish.

The Tasks at Hand

• There are 3 tasks that you will need to
  accomplish. Each task has to be about a different
  league.
  
• The tasks can be completed by hand or by
  computer.
  
• Turn in all 3 tasks together.
• Only use the websites that are found in this
  webquest. You may also check out facts in books
  from the LRC.

Task 1Journal Entry

• Write a journal entry for a major event in any
  baseball player's career. Be sure to describe the
  thoughts and feelings of the player and the date
  the event took place. You must meet the following
  requirements
• write a journal entry about a major event in a
  players career
  
• include thoughts and feelings that that player
  may have had
  
• include a date and description of the event
• use correct (or historically accurate) grammar
  and spelling

Task 2Baseball Card

• Baseball cards have been around almost as long as
  the game has. They are a time-honored
  collectable. Using a player of your choice (a
  different player from task 1) you are to create a
  baseball card.
• Picture on the front
• Statistics on the back (batting average, stolen
  bases, awards, teams they have played for, etc.)
  
• It should be the size of an index card (3x5 or
  4x6).

Task 3League Timeline

• Create a timeline that documents a league (Negro,
  Women's,  MLB, etc.) career or team career and
  the major historical events that occurred during
  the same time period. Your timeline must contain
  at least 6 career entries with 6 matching
  historical events. You must meet the following
  requirements
• Find at least 6 baseball events that occurred in
  a league or teams career
  
• Find at least 6 historical events that correctly
  match the baseball events dates (within the same
  month and year)
  
• Put all 12 events on a timeline
• Be creative
• Use correct grammar and spelling
