In the Old Testament and Judaism, feet are
sometimes referred to in contexts where someones
authority is stressed. This image is also used to
stress the authority of Christ over all things.
Falling at someones feet is a sign of respect
and compliance. By laying their money at the feet
of the apostles, these believers are recognizing
the authority of the apostles to administer the
