1Part of Gods plan for us is that we would live
our lives in COMMUNITY with God and each
other.
2God has called us to be a loving, nurturing
community of Christ-followers.
3Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and residents
of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and
Asia, Phrygia and Pamphilia,
4Egypt and the districts of Libya around Cyrene,
and visitors from Rome, both Jews and
proselytes. (Acts 29-11)
5The church is the strongest when it is made up of
different kinds of people who come together
to share Gods love with one another.
6It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to
be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to
be pastors and teachers, to prepare Gods people
for works of service, so that the body of Christ
may be built up
7until we all reach unity in the faith and in the
knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,
attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of
Christ speaking the truth in love, we will in
all things grow up into him
8who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the
whole body, joined and held together by every
supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up
in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians
411-13, 15 16)
9Our community is the strongest when we each
recognize and use the talents God has given us.
10They devoted themselves to the apostles
teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking
of bread and to prayer.Every day they continued
to meet together in the temple courts. They broke
bread in their homes
11and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
praising God and enjoying the favor of all the
people. And the Lord added to their number daily
those who were being saved. (Acts 242,
46-47)
12Real community is something that literally draws
people in!
13Community is living life together in unity.
14Our community outreach events were great times of
togetherness and community as we ministered to
others.
15A small group is a place where people care about,
and take care of, one another.
16Each of us was designed by God to enjoy community
with one another.
17Community is helping, and encouraging,
and supporting one another as we work together
for Jesus Christ!
