1 John 15-22 If we claim to be without sin, we
deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
Romans 118-20 The wrath of God is being revealed
from heaven against all the godlessness and
wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their
wickedness, since what may be known about God is
plain to them, because God has made it plain to
them. Romans 722-25 Thanks be to Godthrough
Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my
mind am a slave to Gods law, but in the sinful
nature a slave to the law of sin.

Romans 81-4 Therefore, there is now no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
because through Christ Jesus the law of the
Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin
and death. For what the law was powerless to do
in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God
did by sending his own Son in the likeness of
sinful man to be a sin offering..

Matthew 1428-33 Lord, if its you, Peter
replied, tell me to come to you on the water.
Come, he said. Then Peter got down out of the
boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and,
beginning to sink, cried out, Lord, save me!
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and
caught him. You of little faith, he said,
why did you doubt? And when they climbed into
the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were
in the boat worshiped him, saying, Truly you are
the Son of God.
10
John 35-8 Jesus answered, I tell you the truth,
no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is
born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth
to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
You should not be surprised at my saying, You
must be born again. 1 Peter 122-24 Now that you
have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so
that you have sincere love for your brothers,
love one another deeply, from the heart. For you
have been born again, not of perishable seed, but
of imperishable, through the living and enduring
word of God.
11
John 1334-38 A new command I give you Love one
another. As I have loved you, so you must love
one another. By this all men will know that
you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Simon Peter asked him, Lord, where are you
going? Jesus replied, Where I am going, you
cannot follow now, but you will follow later.
Peter asked, Lord, why cant I follow you now? I
will lay down my life for you. Then Jesus
answered, Will you really lay down your life for
me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster
crows, you will disown me three times!
12
Mark 1462-151 While Peter was below in the
courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high
priest came by. When she saw Peter warming
himself, she looked closely at him. You also
were with that Nazarene, Jesus, she said. But
he denied it. I dont know or understand what
youre talking about, he said, and went out into
the entryway. When the servant girl saw him
there, she said again to those standing around,
This fellow is one of them. Again he denied it.
After a little while, those standing near said
to Peter, Surely you are one of them, for you
are a Galilean. He began to call down curses on
himself, and he swore to them, I dont know this
man youre talking about. Immediately the
rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter
remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him
Before the rooster crows twice you will disown
me three times. And he broke down and wept.
13
John 2115-19 Jesus Reinstates Peter When they
had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,
Simon son of John, do you truly love me more
than these? Yes, Lord, he said, you know
that I love you. Jesus said, Feed my lambs.
Again Jesus said, Simon son of John, do you
truly love me? He answered, Yes, Lord, you
know that I love you. Jesus said, Take care of
my sheep. The third time he said to him, Simon
son of John, do you love me? Jesus said this
to indicate the kind of death by which Peter
would glorify God. Then he said to him, Follow
me!
14
Matthew 273-5 When Judas, who had betrayed him,
saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with
remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to
the chief priests and the elders. I have
sinned, he said, for I have betrayed innocent
blood. What is that to us? they replied.
Thats your responsibility. So Judas threw the
money into the temple and left. Then he went away
and hanged himself.
15
Psalm 891-4 I will sing of the Lords great love
forever with my mouth I will make your
faithfulness known through all generations. I
will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you established your faithfulness in heaven
itself. You said, I have made a covenant with
my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant,
I will establish your line forever and make your
throne firm through all generations.
16
Psalm 5110-17 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not
cast me from your presence or take your Holy
Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your
salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to
sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors
your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.
Save me from bloodguilt, O God, You do not
delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it you do
not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The
sacrifices of God are a broken spirit a broken
and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
17
Luke 189-14 The Parable of the Pharisee and the
Tax Collector To some who were confident of
their own righteousness and looked down on
everybody else, Jesus told this parable Two
men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee
and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee
stood up and prayed about himself God, I thank
you that I am not like other menrobbers,
evildoers, adulterersor even like this tax
collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth
of all I get. But the tax collector stood at
a distance. He would not even look up to heaven,
but beat his breast and said, God, have mercy on
me, a sinner. I tell you that this man,
rather than the other, went home justified before
God. For everyone who exalts himself will be
humbled, and he who humbles himself will be
exalted.
18
1 John 15-22 If we claim to be without sin,
we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
and will forgive us our sins and purify us from
all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not
sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word
has no place in our lives. ... But if anybody
does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in
our defenseJesus Christ, the Righteous One. He
is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not
only for ours but also for the sins of the whole
world.
19
Romans 25-11 But because of your stubbornness
and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up
wrath against yourself for the day of Gods
wrath, when his righteous judgment will be
revealed. God will give to each person according
to what he has done. To those who by
persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and
immortality, he will give eternal life. But for
those who are self-seeking and who reject the
truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and
anger.
