Respect is
  • treating others as you would like to be treated.
  • being considerate of other peoples feelings.
  • recognizing the value of people, property, the
    environment, and yourself.
  • having good manners!

Caring is
  • showing compassion for others.
  • appreciating ways people help and care for one
    another.
  • caring how others feel.
  • doing kind and thoughtful deeds for people in
    need
  • putting other peoples needs before your own.
  • learning to give compliments.

Citizenship is
  • having good manners and using kind words.
  • obeying rules and respecting authority.
  • accepting responsibility for your actions.
  • group commitment.
  • being a part of many groups.
  • becoming more familiar with your neighborhood
    community.

Fairness is
  • doing what is right to make sure others are not
    treated badly.
  • sometimes fairness means equal, but fairness DOES
    NOT ALWAYS MEAN THE SAME!
  • learning to take turns when speaking and to
    listen to others.
  • learning to recognize what is fair or unfair.

Responsibility is
  • taking a share of responsibility for your own
    personal care and safety.
  • knowing that you have responsibilities as members
    of groupsschool, family, and community.
  • recognizing excuses as a method of shirking
    responsibility.
  • being dependable and accountable for your words
    and actions.
  • doing your best and never blaming others for your
    mistakes.
  • being responsible for a job and making sure it is
    done correctly and on time.
