Habitat

• Mountain lions live in California, Arizona,
  Mexico, and South America, near swamps mountain
  sides, grassland, and forests.
• People are invading mountain lions space and
  shooting them, because they dont want mountain
  lions to eat their pets.
• There are about 500,000 mountain lions left.

Appearance

• Adult mountain lions weigh up to 180 pounds and
  can measure up to 8 feet long!
• Mountain lions are tan with a mixture of gray,
  red, and yellow, their ears are black tipped and
  so are their tails.
• Mountain lion babies are born with camouflaging
  spots and rings around their tails.
• Mountain lions have long legs and small heads.

Diet

• Mountain lions eat skunks, deer, porcupines, and
  small animals.
• They will sneak up on their prey, and bite its
  neck.
• Mountain lions like to eat the sick old sheep.

Babies

• Mountain lion mothers have a gestation period of
  3 months.
• When the babies are born the mother takes care of
  them.
• Baby mountain lions are born with camouflage spots
