• We use the Internet as a tool for learning. We
  can find and use
• World-wide information and news
• Libraries and museums
• Scientists, teachers, and children
• Educational software, games, and puzzles

Why we need Internet rules

• We have school rules for our safety at school and
  in the classroom. Mom and Dad have probably
  taught you rules to stay safe at home too.
  Internet rules work like these rules. They help
  us stay safe when we are online!

Rules for Using the Internet

• Only use when permission is given and for
  learning purposes.
• Use polite language (verbal and written).
• Be polite to the equipment and those working
  around you.
• Use only what you need (ink, paper, time)
• Keep password, address, and
• phone number to yourself.

Consequences

• When Internet rules are not followed, any of the
  following are possible consequences
• All computer privileges will be canceled.
• Parent(s) will be contacted regarding
  inappropriate behavior.
