Purpose
  • To provide basic information about the
    meteorological conditions under which ASP
    campaigns are conducted
  • To provide routine surface observations of
selected aerosol properties in support of field
    campaigns

Deliverable
  • Field data set published to online archive
  • Rawinsonde profiles
  • Consensus values of sodar and profiler winds and
    of RASS temperatures (if collected)
  • Time series of surface meteorological and aerosol
    variables

Summary
  • PNNL infrastructure support will provide some
combination of meteorological and surface aerosol
    sampling for ASP field campaigns.
  • This sampling will be provided at a primary and,
if funding permits, a secondary site.
  • A prototype of the infrastructure configuration
was operated at Indiana, Pennsylvania as part of
this past summers ACP field campaign.
