Title: Arc Writer

1
Arc Writer
  • Dual gas, variable power output plasma marking,
    scoring, and punching system
  • Marks up to 300 IPM
  • Adjustable in 1 amp increments from 4 to 19 amps
  • Capable of heavy and light scoring and marking
    and punch or dimple marking

2
Air Scribe
  • Utilizes a reciprocating pin to mark with dots or
    lines
  • Can mark on any material but is especially well
    suited to gage thicknesses
  • Economical operation and air consumption
  • Carbide tipped marking point for long life
  • Easy change out marking tip

3
Drill and Tap
  • Allows more work to be done to a piece in a
    single handling
  • Drills up to ½ holes in mild steel up to 1
    thick, depending on machine
  • Mist lubrication
  • Drill and tap is automatically controlled by CNC
    control

4
Powder Marker
  • Utilizes a special torch and zinc or colored
powder to produce a semi-permanent line
  • Can be set with a fixed offset to a cutting torch
  • Speeds of up to 1000 IPM
  • Each 50g powder vial provides approx. 4000 of
    line at 1000IPM
  • Line can be continuous or intermittent

5
FT100 Torch Ignitor
  • Ignites any oxyfuel torch
  • Critical alignment is not needed as no arc is
    struck
  • Reliably starts torch, even with low pressure
    natural gas
  • Individual programmable torch selection
    (dependent on CNC Control used)
  • Self-contained

6
Pneumatic Punch Marker
  • Best for material ¼ or thicker
  • Provides impact impressions into the material
    being marked
  • Stand off height of ¼ to accommodate plate
    variation
  • Optional height sensor (if casual water remains
on plate, it will track the water)
  • High carbon steel tip with 120angle for robust
    mark
  • Tip is easy to replace
  • Marking for drill hole locations, weld and bend
    lines, and assembly locations
  • Can create effect of dots or lines

7
Sensomat-Pan
  • Height sensing for Oxyfuel cutting that
    automatically maintains proper standoff height
  • Accommodates plate inclines of /- 3
  • Height freeze can be activated for cutting near
    the plate edge
  • Ring 22 (shown) best for thickness range of .79
to 1.575, and U-65, best for thickness range of
    1.575 to 3.15
  • U-65 features an open U shape to allow for
piercing without slag accumulation on sensor

8
SureStop
  • Permanent magnets eliminate possibility of
    failure
  • Magnets are unaffected by heat from thermal
    cutting
  • Protects torch in Z-Axis (up and down) as well as
    the X and Y axes
  • Resetting after a collision is reliable,
consistent, and takes only 5 to 10 seconds
  • Available for use in conjunction with the MG PL-1
    Plasma Lifter
  • Does not require power to hold the torch in place

9
Plasma Torches

Benefits of Plasma
  • High speed, accurate cutting
  • Cuts mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Cuts gage material up to 1 ½ typically depending
on plasma (up to 3 can be cut in limited
quantities and in 760amp plasma only)
  • A variety of plasma systems are available to fit
    budgetary and cut part needs
  • Conventional and precision plasmas are offered
  • Some plasma systems can be used for both marking
