The need for European industry to move forward
has four CORNERS(IRC-IRE Think Tank Group Mr
Corsi)
  • 1. Competitiveness
  • Becoming more Competitive means becoming more
    knowledge-driven, more internet-connected, more
    dynamically adaptive to change
  • 2. New Economy
  • With knowledge being accessible to all,
  • value is moving toward knowledge, enhancing
    knowledge management

3
The need for European industry to move forward
has four CORNERS(IRC-IRE Think Tank Group Mr
Corsi)
  • 3.Business Models
  • In the new Business Model, there are several
competing services for the same customer, who is
now right in the centre, in the middle of the
model. The great change in marketing is that
whereas yesterday the supply chain was driven by
supply itself, today it is driven purely by
    demand
  • 4.Behavior
  •     is important to understand the expression
Linux is better, but Microsoft is a habit lies
right in the heart of business in the web-era.

4
What Does More Competitive Means?
  • It means becoming
  • 1. More knowledge-driven
  • 2. More internet-worked
  • 3. More dynamically adaptive (to new forms of
organisations, of new practices, to context)

5
NEW ECONOMY
  • Nobel Prize Robert Solow en 1987 You can see
the computer age everywhere but in the
    productivity statistics

2003 You can see innovation everywhere
except in the innovation statistics
6
Business model
  • Yesterday wealth creation was a sequential
    process

Today wealth creation is a dynamic
process
7
Business model
  • Yesterday supply chain

Today supply chain
