We sell Green Energy
Green Energy is electricity produced in an
environmentally sustainable way produced 100
from renewable energy sources in compliance with
all environmental requirements.
The mission of Green Energy is to help people
care for their surrounding environment Green
Energy is available to purchase to all customers
of Eesti Energy 10 cents from every kWh
consumed is donated to the Estonian Institute for
Sustainable Development, Stockholm Environment
Institute Tallinn Centre to support programs
encouraging energy efficiency Green Energy is
produced by 35 hydroelectric power stations and
18 windmills all over Estonia, that contribute
approximately 2 or 92 million kWh to the overall
energy consumption of Estonia By 2010, the
share of renewable energy in Estonia must rise to
5,1 in the overall production mix During
2005/2006 financial year a total of 6100 MWh of
renewable energy was produced in Eesti
Energia This year, the Keila-Joa hydroelectric
power station was re-opened
