GB industry groups on TSI issues
SRA - The Strategic Rail Authority is the public
sector, strategic specifier and provides industry
leadership. UK SSG Railway industry /
government group, lead by the SRA, that specifies
the strategy on standard setting. UK TSI mirror
groups members from the industry to provide
arena for establishing the British position on
the TSI parameters. A group is formed for each
TSI and additional groups for examining
interfaces. (Eg Brakes Cross Functional workshop
between CoCoSig, OPE, RST and Telematics). UK CSG
British mirror group to the AEIF CSG and EEG.
The remit of this group also includes,
communication and consultation and also
commissioning studies for an optimal solution (if
required).

Role of the UK CSG

• Provide a focus for work on the development and
  implementation of Interoperability TSIs,
  reporting regularly to SSG.
• Promote the development of consensual UK industry
  positions on TSI development through the RSSB
  managed TSI mirror groups
•  
• Provide generic guidance to the TSI mirror groups
  as to objectives, remits and cross-functional
  technical and economic issues arising at AEIF.
•  
• Oversee and review the relationships between TSI
  mirror groups, UK interface groups and RGS
  Subject Committees.
•  
• Provide support and guidance to representatives
  from UK organisations involved in TSI drafting
  and in other European standards development.
•  
• Promote and oversee the further evaluation of
  interoperability/TSI options through research or
  economic evaluation, proposing a prioritised plan
  for UK industry activity.
•   
• Review recommendations for and progress with UK
  specific cases.
