• Established in May 2006 as support to the AASHTO
  Standing Committee on Highway Traffic Safety
  (SCOHTS)
• Promote AASHTO safety goals
• Promote the implementation of state Strategic
  Highway Safety Plans (SHSPs).
• Explore safety technical information, research
  and resources
• Be involved in safety policy development

  safety clearinghouse for federal, state, local,
  and private organizations.

• Objective  Promote a 4-E approach to traffic
  safety among roadway users
