- Only 62 of the adult population can read
- Only 47 have completed elementary school
- The average person makes only 250 per year
- Only one third of the population has access to
safe water - One mother and one baby die out of every 100
births - There are only two newspapers in the entire
country - There is one telephone for every 500 people
- 87 of the country's population is affiliated
with a church - The church has been growing at a rate of 5 per
year!

Congregations languish for years, with poor
members,make-shift buildings,unpaid pastors

- Provides an efficient way for Christians to help
the poor without creating dependence, - Alleviates poverty to answer family needs,
- Ministers mercy through the church with economic
development, nutritional and educational
services, and - Equips impoverished Christians and churches for
Gospel ministry.

TMP receives donations from US Christians and
Churches to lend to Church members in Uganda

pay back their loans to Revolving Funds that are
used for subsequent loans to other
needy members.
12To Qualify, a Recipient Must
- Be a Member of a PCU Cong.
- Be Experienced in business
- Undergo TMP training
- Submit an application
- Sign a pay-back note
- Be accountable

Pastor Robert also makes shampoo to finance
himself. A TMP loan enabled him to double his
production from 40 to 80 litres per week. Now
he can afford to send his children to school.

chairs for her tea and chapati stand.

- Soup Kitchen outreach to the nearby slum
