DSB MISSION
  • ASSIST IN THE PLANNING, STAGING AND
    PREPARATION OF THE DEPLOYING UNITS EQUIPMENT FOR
    SURFACE DEPLOYMENT.
  • PROVIDE LIAISON BETWEEN THE DTO/ITO, UMC,
    BRIGADE MOVEMENT OFFICERS AND THE SEA PORT
    OPERATING UNITS.

CARGO PREPARATION PROCESS
  • Step 1. Introductory Brief with
    Leadership/UMO/Haz-12
  • Step 2. Train the Trainer with USCG and DST
  • Explain/Demonstrate Equipment Standards
  • Motor pool Walk-Through Look at each piece of
    unique equipment
  • Give UMO OEL update homework (dimensions, serial
    , Bump , Container , etc)
  • Step 3. Verify Updated OEL
  • Walk Through with Team
  • Step 4. Scrub OEL at Brigade with DST/DSB

  • Step 5. Pack, Block and Brace, Document, Seal and
    Weigh Containers
  • Update Container and Level 6 Data at Unit
    Computer
  • Step 6. Scrub Level 6 Data at BDE
  • Execute plan with DST
  • Print MSLs/Burn RFID tags
  • Step 7. Walk through Motor pool with DSB/DST to
    apply MSLs and RFID
  • Step 8. Send V3 file to port for Cargo Pre-Stow

  • OP-Views will provide ITV for all items with RFID
    tags
  • OP-Views will be updated with WPS manifest to
    provide vessel ITV
  • OP-Views will provide RFID tag, Hazmat, TCN and
    Level VI detail provided by ITV server

  • Follow Division/Brigade guidance on RFID tagging
  • Ensure tags are in a safe location on
    equipment/container
  • DSB will ensure that Tags are functional before
    moving to CROF
