Proposal
  • Roll out of the Gold Standard frameworks for key
    roles
  • Qualifications reform to provide a transition
    between existing NVQs and VRQs towards smaller,
    credit based qualifications targeted at specific
    training needs
  • Development of an effective model for the
    accreditation of prior learning at a company
    level, against the appropriate framework
  • Development of a credible brokerage service
    capable of identifying and addressing specific
    processing skills needs
  • Provision of Train to Gain funding to support all
    learners achievement of the relevant Gold
    Standard framework (i.e. regardless of learner
    eligibility status).

    as defined by the Gold Standard
  • It is anticipated that 500 Companies from the
    Cogent Sector would sign up to the Pledge over
    the next 3 years.
