5Oregons Competitive Challenges

retirements by 2014, can we meet the challenge?
7We Have a PlanWe Need Your Help
- Goal 1 Ensure all Oregon employers have a
competitive workforce advantage to compete in the
global marketplace through a highly skilled
workforce and expand the number of living wage
jobs available to skilled Oregonians. - Goal 2 Prepare a flexible, innovative workforce
that has the skills employers want and is able to
continuously adapt to technology changes. That
means education and training that helps emerging,
transitional and current workers. - Goal 3 Build an agile, demand-driven workforce
education and training system that is
outcome-based, customer-focused, accessible,
flexible, adequately funded and grounded in
public-private partnerships.
