INTRODUCTION
Fusion Network Demo
- On-line accessibility to the growing fusion
materials knowledge base is becoming essential
for effective information exchange. - Site growth and maintenance can outstrip the
capacity of any person, - Cost associated with site growth and maintenance
can become prohibitively large. - Create a DATABASE-backed WEB SITE by combining
advanced Internet programming with Relational
Database Management Software (RDBMS) - Automated
- Dynamic (no static pages)
- Scalable Graphs
- Cross Reference
- Content Managed by Users Directly
- Facilitate seamless interfaces between the
distinct knowledge bases - Material Properties
- Modeling
- Design/Analysis
- Fusion Network is an on-line Fusion
Material/Modeling/Analysis database, with which
users can automatically create, publish, and
manage fusion materials property data - Constitutive equations and design performance
modeling will follow at a later time. - Sub-core features are demonstrated using an
example that shows graphical representation of
user uploaded data and is almost ready to be
expanded and maintained by end users of the
fusion community.

developing the modeling database, which will
consist of (1) Representative models (simple
fits), (2) Physically-based Polynomial fits, (3)
Constitutive Equations. - Tungsten Materials Database is also currently in
development.
