3
Expose the Deeds of Darkness
  • Ephesians 511-12
  • Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of
darkness, but instead even expose them for it is
disgraceful even to speak of the things which are
    done by them in secret.

4
Life and Light in Jesus Christ
  • Ephesians 513-14
  • But all things become visible when they are
exposed by the light, for everything that becomes
visible is light. For this reason it
    says,         "Awake, sleeper,      And arise
from the dead,          And Christ will shine on
    you."

5
Walk Wisely in the Lord
  • Ephesians 515-17
  • Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise
men but as wise, making the most of your time,
because the days are evil. So then do not be
foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord
    is.

6
Filled with the Spirit
  • Ephesians 518-19
  • And do not get drunk with wine, for that is
dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody with
    your heart to the Lord

7
The Grateful Christian
  • Ephesians 520
  • always giving thanks for all things in the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father

8
Why We Should Give Thanks
  • Colossians 112-14
  • . . . giving thanks to the Father, who has
qualified us to share in the inheritance of the
saints in Light. For He rescued us from the
domain of darkness, and transferred us to the
kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have
    redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

9
Why We Should Give Thanks For All Things
  • Romans 828
  • And we know that God causes all things to work
together for good to those who love God, to those
who are called according to His purpose.

10
A Warning from the Pen of Paul
  • 1 Corinthians 101-5
  • For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren,
that our fathers were all under the cloud and all
passed through the sea  and all were baptized
into Moses in the cloud and in the sea and all
ate the same spiritual food and all drank the
same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from
a spiritual rock which followed them and the
rock was Christ. Nevertheless, with most of them
God was not well-pleased for they were laid low
    in the wilderness.

11
A Warning from the Pen of Paul
  • 1 Corinthians 106-11
  • Now these things happened as examples for us, so
that we would not crave evil things as they also
craved. Do not be idolaters, as some of them
were as it is written, The people sat down to
eat and drink and stood up to play." Nor let us
act immorally, as some of them did, and
twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us
try the Lord, as some of them did, and were
destroyed by the serpents. Nor grumble, as some
of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
Now these things happened to them as an example,
and they were written for our instruction, upon
whom the ends of the ages have come.

12
A Promise from the Pen of Paul
  • 1 Corinthians 1012-13
  • Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed
that he does not fall. No temptation has
overtaken you but such as is common to man and
God is faithful, who will not allow you to be
tempted beyond what you are able, but with the
temptation will provide the way of escape also,
so that you will be able to endure it.

13
1 Grow in Wisdom through Growing in the Word
  • 2 Timothy 314-15
  • You, however, continue in the things you have
learned and become convinced of, knowing from
whom you have learned them, and that from
childhood you have known the sacred writings
which are able to give you the wisdom that leads
to salvation through faith which is in Christ
    Jesus.

14
2 Give Thanks in All Situations
  • 1 Thessalonians 518
  • . . . in everything give thanks for this is
God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
