BACKGROUND

• Committee (Messrs Perrie, Sadzik and van der
  Walt) delegated to have meeting with NDOT and
  SANRAL
• Took place on 4 December 2006
• Discussion
• Availability of TRH and TMH documentation
• Who should take responsibility for revision
  and/or upgrading of these documents and when
• Which authority will accept responsibility for
  further management of these documentation

RESOLUTION TAKEN AT MEETING

• AVAILABILITY SANRAL and NDOT will place existing
  TRH and TMH on their respective websites for the
  industry use and downloading
• REVISION AND UPGRADING Will take place according
  to a list of priority needs that was completed by
  NDOT with assistance of RMC
• RMC to manage process and to obtain sponsors for
  the upgrading of documents

• COTO is the custodian of all TRH and TMH
  documents.
• NDOT will obtain ratification for revised TRH and
  TMH documents in future.
• Confirmed need for upgrading/revision of COLTO
  Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridge
  Works for State Road Authorities (1998 edition)
