  • 700 Wake up
  • 800 Breakfast...pack deli bar lunch
  • 915 Leave for Field
  • 1200 Lunch in Field
  • 330 Return from Field...free time

Travel
  • Monticello Bus Service
  • Excellent service on past trips.
  • 22/26 hour trip only stopping for meals/short
    rests.
  • Movie system on bus...bathroom on bus.
  • Drivers switch....waiting in different cities.

Lodging
  • Excellent Facilities at Teton Science School.
  • Two lodges....3 bunk beds to a room.
  • After Teton Science School we will go to
    Yellowstone. We will stay at Days Inn 5 minutes
    from the park. Four to a room. Indoor
    pool/water slide.

Food
  • Sack type foods while in transit.
  • Excellent food during the week.
  • When in Yellowstone we lose the TSS chefs and
    will be eating more camp/take out type food.
  • Snacks provided on all days.

Cost of Trip 825
  • Covers transportation, lodging, meals, TSS
    tuition, admission fees, and materials.
  • Will need a sack dinner for first bus meal.
  • Packing list will be given but it should not be
    necessary to spend a lot of money for clothes,
    shoes, etc.
  • Only money needed is for gifts, gas station
    snacks.
  • Fundraise Opportunities will be available.

Who Gets to Go?
  • Any student now in middle school may apply.
  • If we have more applications than spaces then
    priority will go to those in good standing at
    school and that appear to genuinely wish to learn
    about the area.
  • Students who are accepted into this trip may be
    dismissed due to future behavior.

  • Will a nurse be going?
  • Yes.
  • Are TSS staff background checked?
  • Yes....just as any Wyoming teacher
  • Can parents chaperone?
  • No...our chaperones are the instructors and
    must be certified staff member.

  • Can we request roommates?
  • To an extent....
  • Can the students call home?
  • Yes...but we will likely limit.
  • Is Yellowstone really a volcano?
  • Yes. ?
  • Are boys and girls separated at night?
  • Yes, by room....but lodges are mixed.
