Register For Courses

• After reviewing your course plan and advisement,
  pre-register for your courses
• Register for your classes online via MyCat
  (section 50 classes are on-line)
• If you have problems registering on-line, phone
  the Graduate School (1-800-369-9854)

Getting Your Textbooks

• If you are in Cullowhee, text books may be picked
  up at the WCU Bookstore
• If you are in Asheville, text books are available
  through the WCU Programs Office
• To charge books by credit card have them
  delivered to your home, phone the WCU Bookstore
  (866-272-4102)

Dropping Withdrawing Classes

• During the first few days of a class you can drop
  the course and get a refund
• After a few weeks you can withdraw from a class
  with a grade of w

Dropping Withdrawing Classes

• Phone the registrars office to arrange a
  withdrawal (828-227-7232)
• If you are withdrawing from all of your courses,
  you must then withdraw from the University for
  that semester

Dropping Withdrawing Classes

• Refunds for withdraws depends on the reasons for
  the withdraw and when the withdraw takes place
• If you discontinue participating in a class and
  dont withdraw from it, you will be given a grade
  of F and dismissed from Graduate School

Student Request Forms

• Change Programs
• Bring In Coursework (limit of 6 semester hours)
  from other universities
• Available online, in the Graduate School and at
  the WCU Programs Office
• May download forms or phone the Graduate School
  to have one mailed to your home (800-369-9854)

Comprehensive Exam

• No thesis requirement
• Must complete HR Comprehensive Exam

Applying For Graduation

• Apply at the end of semester prior to graduation
• List all courses yet to be completed prior to
  graduation
• Forms available online, in the Graduate School
  at WCU Programs Office
• May phone Graduate School to have one mailed to

Policies

• You can withdraw from a course up until the last
  day of the course
• You can earn only 2 Cs in Graduate School

• If you do not properly drop or withdraw from a
  course, the computer system will enter a grade of
  F
• If you receive a grade of F in any course, you
  will be dismissed from the University

• You can bring no more than 6 semester hours into
  WCU from another university
• You have two opportunities to pass the HR
  Comprehensive Exam

• If you drop out of school for more than one
  semester, you will need to reapply to the HR
  Program for readmission
• Experience HR professionals may request to
  substitute another course for HR 683 Field
  Experience
