Treasurers Duties
  • First off, Congrats on being elected as your
    local treasurer!
  • Now you may be wondering what to do next.
  • Here are some common duties as a treasurer
    although your chapter may have more

Dues
  • Collect dues the sooner the better!
  • Total of 10
  • 6 (National Dues)
  • 4 (State Dues)
  • Chapters may also add local dues to the total.

Due Date
  • Dues are sent in to the national office.
  • Initial deadline is October 20th
  • Final deadline is January 15th
  • Keep due dates in mind when planning on
    chartering or reactivating chapters.

Financial Records
  • Being organized is key in keeping accurate
    financial records.
  • My suggestion is using spreadsheets.
  • Keeps numbers in line
  • Makes the job easier

Local Meetings
  • Report the following information at meetings

  • Be prepared for questions!

  • Use receipts as a record of all money spent.

  • Ask your adviser about proper procedure in
    handling both documents.
