Artists Statement

• Working in clay has a profound healing effect
  on me, and my sculptures are reflections of that
  healing. The Spirit of the Dance series reveals
  the essence of how a woman expresses her inner
  spirit. The flow, curve, drape, pattern and
  color come together on a feminine form giving it
  a visual voice. My sculptures are made without
  facial features to direct attention to the
  fundamental beauty, confidence and strength of
  the female psyche. Although I am not a dancer, I
  speak and dance with the divine within me as He
  works through the windows of my eyes. My work is
  a gentle reminder to the viewer to dance like
  David danced.
