Indias Government

• Indias government continued to reckon with the
  fallout from a three-day terror attack, and the
  public held vigils for the dead. The standoffs
  narrowed to a final battle but the assault on the
  city continued to shake India and raise tensions
  with Pakistan .Indian national security forces
  stormed a i.e.. wish center that had been seized
  by terrorists during a coordinated series of
  attacks on Mumbai.

• Terror struck the countrys financial capital
  late on Wednesday night as coordinated serial
  explosions and indiscriminate firing rocked eight
  areas across Mumbai including the crowded C.S.T
  railway station and two five star hotels- Oberoi
  and Taj- leaving. Several persons dead and
  injured.

Replacing of home minister

• Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was learnt to have
  decided to shad off the finance portfolio, which
  he held after P Chidambaram took over the home
  Minster replacing Shivraj Patil last week . Its
  an open ended search with the P.M said to be
  screening both political and non-political
  options said ruling party sources.

Act urgently or US will act, Rice told PAK

• Country to reports of Condoleezza Rice softening
  her message to Pakistan, the US secretary of
  state is learnt to have told Pakistan on her
  recent visit that there was irrefutable evidence
  of involvement of
• element in this country in the Mumbai terror
  attacks and it had no option but to act urgently
  otherwise, the US will act.

Lashkars Mumbai terror planner Lakhvi nabbed in
PoK

• Pakistan authorities have arrested an operational
  leader of Lashkar e Taiba suspected of
  conducting the Mumbai attacks .India has accused
  Lakhvi of being in control of the attackers in
  Mumbai as they terrorized the city during the
  three- day siege.
