3
Abstract
  • FM transmitter circuit built
  • Background information and how the circuit works
    will be explained
  • Explanation about the experimentation process
    and results
  • Conclusions and questions on the FM circuit

4
Introduction
  • For the last 50 years, FM radio popular with
    people for radio stations.
  • In order to FM radio to work, need transmitter
    and receiver.

5
Motivation
  • Desire to make a fully functional circuit and
    soldiering experience
  • Connect to computer and have whole house have
    custom music.

6
Device Integration
  • Putting FM transmitter together
  • Circuit diagram Circuit board

7
Device Integration continued
  • Completed circuit

8
Experimentation
  • Two experiments were made with circuit
  • Three different devices were used to create
    inputs for circuit
  • Used two different radios at different places

9
Pictures of Devices Used
  • Piezo speaker Larger speaker

10
Pictures continued
  • Laptop
  • Laptop connection

11
Results and Analysis
  • The piezo speaker too small of signal to be of
    use to circuit.
  • The larger speaker had stronger signal but lacked
    clarity in sound.
  • Laptop connection had strong signal and clarity
    in sound.
  • In all three experiments, both radios picked up
the signal at near equal clarity.

12
Results continued
  • Problems that arose
  • After about a period of 5 minutes, wires to
    battery burnt out twice.

13
Conclusion
  • Radio circuit is great at using other electronic
    source for input.
  • Problems with speakers and if used with circuit,
    need to be high quality.
  • Cant use the circuit for more than 5 minutes or
risk damaging the power supply wires.

Demonstration
  • We will now demonstrate the FM transmitter using
    a video and the laptop.
