  • Storage tanks are tanks that are used for storage
of liquids as well as gases. These tanks come in
various shapes and sizes but mostly are cylinder
shaped and have flat base. The roof of these
tanks is either fixed or floating type. There are
two types of storage tanks, the ones used for
storing material underground make use of
underground storage tanks and materials which are
stored above the ground make use of above ground
storage tanks. The design as well as the
operation of the tank depends upon the type of
material its going to store. The various design
types include open top and closed top, slope
bottom, dish bottom, flat bottom, cone, bottom
tanks as well as vertically cylindrical and
horizontally cylindrical tanks. The tanks that
    have to withstand hydraulic hydrostatically
induced pressure inside them are generally
vertically cylindrical in shape with rounded
corners. There are various different tanks used
for different applications like water storage,
chemical storage, storing gaseous substances and
    more.
  • There are these tanks known as Mixing Tanks also
and as the name itself suggests these tanks are
used for mixing different materials together. The
most commonly used material for making mixing
tanks is stainless steel, even though it can be
made of plastic, hard rubber, etc. Most of the
manufacturing units make use of storage tanks for
mixing the raw material together smoothly and
then use it for creating a spectrum of products.
The use of mixing tanks varies as per the
industry type. For example in a bakery the mixing
tank would be used to mix yeast, flour and water
in pre-calculated quantities while making bakery
products. Similarly, this is applicable for
various other industries like beverage or
chemical or petrochemical, water as well as waste
water plants, power plants or natural gas plants
    also.

  • These industrial usage tanks are quite costly and
could cost industry a fortune. Though, there are
a lot of vendors who sell used storage tanks that
are in good shape. So, when there is a tight
budget to be worked upon, companies generally
tend to go for used storage tanks, Used Stainless
Steel Tanks, liquid storage tanks after checking
out the duration for which they are used and what
material was stored in these tanks and how old
these tanks are. There are specialists who can
identify the quality of the storage tanks and if
they can be reused without any kind of problem
    whatsoever.
  • Used storage tanks find their applications in all
kinds of industries from food, pharmaceutical,
    plastics, beverage, winery, fermentations,
    propane and more.
