• Centralized service with admin. staff
• Began approx. 10 years ago
• Delivery of journal articles, book chapters and
  books (loans)

• Search performed across a number of regional
  catalogues

• Users are divided into various user groups
  students, faculty etc, private individuals,
  commercial users
  
• User registration maintained by central admin.
  office
  
• Books are sent to home or work address
• Loan period is four weeks
• Return by mail (paid by the user)

• Fee for normal mail delivery to non-commercial
  users is 9 Euros (13,4)
  
• Same fee applicable for all participating
  libraries
  
• Add 1 up to 7 Euros for express delivery (this
  fee is decided individually)

• Payment with credit card is possible

• Use existing technology, fast implementation, had
  to be without direct costs for participating

• Registration is done locally
• Books are sent to home or work address
• Loan period 30-40 days
• Renewals allowed
• Free return via a library (uses national library
  courier service The Library Express)
  
• Or return by mail (paid by the user)
