MHMC Basic Core II OB/GYN
Student should page chief of service you are
joining for the following week on the Friday
BEFORE starting (night float residents leave at
noon)

  • Assignment to 1 attendings private clinic
  • Takes precedence over other clinical activities
    EXCEPT when on night-float week
  • Contact prior to first session to verify start
    time, location, prep/expectations (contact via
    secretary or pager, Caryl can assist if you are
    having difficulty making contact)

  • Night float
  • Sunday 6pm-6am
  • Monday-Wednesday 5pm-6am
  • Thursday 5pm-Friday noon
  • Weekend call
  • Friday 5pm-9am
  • Saturday 9am-9am
  • Sunday 9am-6pm
  • CALL Expectations
  • PM Rounds (postpartum, post-op patients) prior to
    starting night float call
  • AM Rounds on patients after sign-out, prior to
    leaving for the day
