Medical Equipment and Logistics Solutions

• Responsible for development and management of
  medical and dental equipment execution plans and
  engineering specifications for shore facilities.
• Provides biomedical engineering technical support
  and liaison with Navy Medicine Specialty Leaders
  for coordination of all equipment procurement and
  programs.
• Serve as Navy Medicines Senior Service Rep for
  all IT Logistics Systems
• Acts as lead representative in all matters
  pertaining to the integration of medical
  logistics system (DMLSS, SPS, DINPACS and WAWF)
  solutions into Naval activities world-wide.

Operational Logistics

• Single portal for worldwide Naval Operating
  Forces Medical Logistics Support.
• Manage the Navys Authorized Medical Dental
  Allowance Lists (AMAL/ADAL) Process
• In coordination with Fleet Commanders Surgeon,
  plan, generate, track and expedite medical
  requirements for the Medical Support Equipment,
  Shipboard Equipment Replacement and New Ships
  Construction Overhaul Programs in support of
  all Naval ships and the Hospital Ships.

• Central coordination of Navy Medicines
  healthcare services contracting program
• Consult on acquisition strategies

Production of EMFs and FDPMUs

• Through collaboration between NMLCs
  Expeditionary Medical Logistics (EML) office and
  the Naval Expeditionary Medical Support Command
  (NEMSCOM), provides comprehensive Integrated
  Logistics Support (ILS) of EMFs and FDPMUs.
• Design / Build EMFs and FDPMUs
• Oversee Pre-stage planning and site-prep
• Coordinate sustainment / reconstitution
• Conduct Budget Planning for future EMFs and
  FDPMUs

Fabrication of Eyewear

• Per designation of the Navys Surgeon General,
  NOSTRA acts as the lead service agent for the
  Optical Fabrication Enterprise (OFE)
• Provide optical fabrication services in support
  of all branches of the military
• Train Navy and Army opticians within the
  Tri-Service Optician School (TOPS)
