Community Participants
  • Members State local educators,
    administrators, families, service providers and
    others interested in improving outcomes for
    children and students with disabilities.
  • Facilitators A team of professionals assigned
    to each community who represent centers funded by
    OSEP.
  • Chief Editors The behind the scenes team of
    professionals who maintain the technical aspects
    of the web community.

Logging In
  • Enter the username and password you received from
    the Chief Editor in the login boxes on the left
    column of the homepage.
  • Your username and password are case sensitive.
    Enter them exactly as they appear in the email
    from the chief editor.

Importance of Logging In
  • As a member, you cannot fully participate in the
    community without logging in.
  • Activities such as posting content and
    participating in discussions require you to log
    in.

Updating your Member Profile
  • Login.
  • Click on My Member Profile in the Me Box.
  • Click on the edit button on the toolbar.
  • Fill in the fields you would like to edit.
  • Click finish at the bottom of the screen.

Participating in a DiscussionCreate a new
discussion thread
  • Login to your community.
  • Scroll down to the Conversation box.
  • Click on the Contribute Content button beside
    the name of the existing conversation.
  • Fill in the required fields. Click submit.

Participating in a DiscussionReply to a
Discussion Post
  • Identify the post you want to reply to.
  • Click on the subject of the post.
  • On the pop up screen, click on reply.
  • Fill in your reply.
  • Click on submit.

Contributing Content
  • Login.
  • Click on Contribute Content in the Participate
    box on the right side of the homepage.
  • Select the type of information. Click add.
  • A pop up window will appear like the one on the
    right. Fill in all required fields and attach
    your file.
  • Click finish.
  • Your content will be reviewed by the facilitator
    of the community and, if approved, posted within
    two days.

Subscribing
  • Login.
  • Go to the community to which you want to
    subscribe.
  • Click on Subscribe to this Page in the
    Participate box.
  • Fill in your preferences on the pop up screen.
  • Click submit.

Email Groups
  • Login.
  • Under the People box, click on email groups.
  • On the pop up, highlight the group you would like
    to email.
  • Type your message.
  • Click submit one time only.
  • You can only email to a community that you are a
    member of.

Email This Page
  • Login
  • Under the Participate box, click Email this
    Page.
  • Click the check box next to the person or persons
    to whom you wish to send the page to and click
    Add to List
  • Once all the names are included that you want to
    send the e-mail to click Next
  • You will then be given the opportunity to add
    additional emails and type your personal message.

  • Click Submit only once. It may take several
    minutes, but do not hit Submit again.
