Title: The Real Truth About Jesus Christ

1
The Real Truth About Jesus Christ
  • His Birth promised in the Bible

2
The Birth of Jesus
  • First we will look at the Old Testament message.
then look at the New Testament to see how the
birth of Jesus was promised. We will see a
remarkable testimony showing the road from the
darkness of mans current state to the dawn of
    the Kingdom age.

3
Death come to all!
4
What is the reason for life?
  • Why did God create man and why does man die? Has
the purpose of God failed? Is death the end?
  • Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and
honour and power for thou hast created all
things, and for thy pleasure they are and were
    created. Rev 411
  • I make known the end from the beginning, from
ancient times, what is still to come. I say My
purpose will stand, and I will do all that I
    please. Isaiah 4610
  • But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be
filled with the glory of the LORD. Num 1421

5
The Real Truth About Jesus Christ
  • The Promises of God

6
The Promises of God
  • Promises to Adam and Eve Genesis 315
  • Promises to Abraham Genesis 121-3 1314-17
    2217-18
  • Promises to David 2 Samual 711-16

7
The Promises of God
  • The promises refer to a single seed or
    descendant. A remarkable testimony throughout
    the O.T. of a Saviour.
  • The promise to Adam and Eve refers to Jesus
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too
shared in their humanity so that by his death he
might destroy him who holds the power of death--
that is, the devil" Hebrews 214

8
The Promises of God
  • The Promises to Abraham refer to Jesus The
Scripture foresaw that God would justify the
Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in
advance to Abraham "All nations will be blessed
through you. ...... The promises were spoken to
Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not
say "and to seeds", meaning many people, but "and
to your seed", meaning one person, who is Christ.
...... But the Scripture declares that the whole
world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was
promised, being given through faith in Jesus
Christ, might be given to those who believe.
    Galatians 38,16,22

9
The Promises of God
  • The Promise to David refers to Jesus You will
be with child and give birth to a son, and you
are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great
and will be called the Son of the Most High. The
Lord God will give him the throne of his father
David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob
for ever his kingdom will never end. Luke
    131-33

10
The Real Truth About Jesus Christ
  • What can the birth of Jesus mean to us?

11
Lets face facts...
  • The world has not and will not get any better
  • We are not going to rescued by friendly aliens
  • We are all going to die one day!
  • Surely, there is more to life than the doom
    gloom that so many fear

We believe that there is...
12
This is the answer...
  • The news is not all bad. Actually, its good...

For since death came through a man, the
resurrection of the dead comes also through a
man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all
will be made alive. 1Corinthinans 1521-23
for those who believe
13
Those who believe what?
  • For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders. And
he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the
increase of his government and peace there will
be no end. He will reign on David's throne and
over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on
and for ever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will
    accomplish this. Isaiah 96-7

14
Those who believe what?
  • Mary said His mercy is on those that fear Him
from generation to generation.. .. He has helped
his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy,
as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and his
    seed forever Luke 150 54-55
  • The Shepherds were told the angel said to them,
Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good
tidings of great joy, which will be to all
people. For there is born to you this day in the
city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord
..Glory to God in the highest, and on earth
peace, good will toward men. Luke 210-11 14

15
Those who believe what?
  • Simeon said Lord, now You are letting Your
servant depart in peace, according to Your word
For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You
have prepared before the face of all peoples, a
light to bring salvation to the Gentiles, and the
glory of Your people Israel. Luke 229-32

Marvelous words! But Jesus is not here now
16
Jesus Will Return
  • The hope of true Christians lies in the life,
death and resurrection of Jesus and in his
    return.

here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who
has been taken from you into heaven, will come
back in the same way you have seen him go into
