    what you might think.
  • Which is NOT an example of
  • All are correct EXCEPT
  • The BEST answer is

7
Read, Remember, Reduce
  • REMEMBER what youve studied or heard in class.
  • Use a cover up strategy try to answer the
question without looking at the answer choices.
Cover them up with your fingers.

8
Read, Remember, Reduce
  • REDUCE your choices and improve your chances of
    getting the right answer.
  • Rather than look for the right answer, look for
the wrong answers and eliminate them.
  • Mark out the choices that you know arent right
or cant be right or dont sound right.
  • Employ real strategies to reduce the choices.

9
Read, Remember, Reduce
  • Avoid answers with absolute words
  • None
  • Never
  • All
  • More
  • Always
  • Completely
  • Only
  • They indicate undisputed facts.

10
Read, Remember, Reduce
  • Eliminate as many answers as possible.
  • Use the true-false test for each option.
  • Look for answers that dont fit or seem out of
    context
  • Eliminate answers that are totally unfamiliar to
    you
  • If 2 answers are the opposite of each other,
chances are one of them is correct
  • If the answer is a number, toss out the high low
numbers and consider the middle range numbers

11
Read, Remember, Reduce
  • All of the Above if 2 or 3 answers seem
correct, all of the above is USUALLY the
correct answer. BUT, remember, ALL parts of ALL
answers must be correct, so read through and
    check all of the answers.
  • Remember to look for the BEST answer and make
    your best guess
  • If at a complete loss, choose an answer that is
  • in any way familiar
  • the longest and most detailed answer
  • Do not change answers or choose answers based on
patterns. The test may really have 7 Cs in a
    row.

12
Answer or Abandon
  • Due to time, you may have to skip (abandon) some
    questions.
  • Always answer the easy ones first.
  • Place a mark next to any you skip to remind you
    go back to it later.
  • Or, ANWER ALL questions. If you are not sure
your answer is right, mark it and come back to
    later, if you have time.

13
You Need To Go Back
  • At the end of the test, GO BACK to those
questions you either marked or abandoned.
  • Look over the test one more time. Are all items
    answered?
  • Only change answers if you are absolutely sure it
should be changed. Your first choice is usually
    right.
  • Check the bubble sheet to make sure its marked
    correctly
