- THE MAIN GOALS
- POLITICAL (popularization of GRID and
NorduGrid). - To demonstrate to the ordinary people (medical
specialists, students etc....) the new working
information technology invented as by-product of
High-Energy Physics. - PRACTICAL to create this medical library
prototype to be really useful for the didactic
purposes of teaching medical students. - TECHNICAL to test the existing NorduGrid and
GRID technologies for this specific application.

15Conclusions
- We continue the development of the Distributed
library archive prototype based on Nordugrid RLS
and SSE services - Distributed DICOM storing services are realized
- RLS server for storing of metadata
- Two SSEs
- We are finishing alpha version of the interface
module - The results can be used as a base for future GRID
applications for medical DICOM images archives
(Computer Aided Diagnostics, batch image
processing etc..)
