- The data released by the Ministry of Housing
shows that the total number of planned land uses
in 2012 stood at 58,609 plots in all governorates
of the Sultanate and the distributed plots stood
at 38,768, according to the indicators released
by the sectors of urban planning, land
distribution, real estate register and social
housing, which find place in the ministry's
yearbook 2012. The number of real estate
transactions stood at 120,081 with financial
value amounted to RO 1,716,268, constituting an
increase 45 per cent compared with 2011. The
financial charges amounted to RO 25,075 and the
number of land plots registered for the first
time stood at 100,198. The number of deeds issued
at 207,204 in various governorates, whereas the
