1
Daniel Assouline Helps his Employees Make Sense
of the Bigger Picture
  • Daniel Assouline

2
  • Daniel Assouline is an enthusiastic and hard
working leader who works tirelessly to get
results for his organization as well as his
    clients.
  • Effectively managing and leading a modern
organization with its own distinct share of
challenges and issues is not everybodys cup of
tea. People need to have certain important
qualities and characteristics to be a successful
    business leader.
  • In the following section, we shall look at some
important traits and factors that make for
    outstanding leaders

3
Good Leaders are Trustworthy
  • Trust is the most important commodity in
business. People will simply refuse to follow
your instructions or do your biddings, if they
    doubt your intentions.
  • Leadership is not about coercion or threat. It is
all about creating challenging results by
channelizing the efforts of all the people around
you. People should want to follow rather than
    being forced to follow you.
  • People will only be willing to give their best
when they are assured that the leader has their
best interest in mind. A half-hearted approach
will severely affect productivity and quality of
    the organization.

4
  • Needless to say that in this age of cutthroat
competition and intense business rivalry, an
organization whose products fail to conform to
the highest standards will sooner than later run
    into the red.
  • On the other hand, when people are assured that
what the leader has in mind is for their overall
good, they will do what you say and do it with
    passion and dedication.

5
Good Leaders are Effective and Efficient
  • Good leaders, assured of their self-worth and
self-belief, are effective delegators. They are
like master architects who design the big vision
and then get out of the way, providing ample
opportunities to their subordinates to hone their
skills solving problems on their own.
  • Successful leaders learn as much from failures as
from success. They see opportunity in every
problem and do not shy away from taking
challenges. They encourage their followers to be
    positive and innovative.
  • Great leaders are not easily unnerved. They know
how to take failures as well success in their
stride with equal calm and poise. They do not
throw their weight around and let their employees
deal with the issues on their own.

6
  • Daniel Assouline, the chairman and co-founder of
payment processing firm UpClick, is a leader who
has had an unblemished career. A man of values
and high professionalism, Assouline is trusted
    and respected by his employees.
  • He lays special emphasis on ethical behavior and
knows how to get things done effectively and
efficiently without getting upset. He has great
problem solving skills, but is equally receptive
to the idea of employees handling the problems
and issues at their own level.

7
Good Leaders are Quick and Good Decision Makers
  • This is one of the few more important qualities
that a modern business leader must have to
successfully lead a modern organization. True
leadership is all about having a vision and then
making right decisions along the way to turn that
    vision into reality.
  • A CEO, therefore, has to be an excellent decision
maker, as the absence of this quality may negate
any other positive trait that a leader may have.
When a leader makes good decision, nothing else
    matters.
  • When they take wrong decisions or when even a
right decision is not implemented, it could prove
    catastrophic for the organization. The
competition is cutthroat and sound decision
making capability of its CEO more often than not
proves to be the real competitive differentiator.

8
  • Daniel Assouline is a leader who enjoys the
complete loyalty and trust of his employees. This
enables him to take decisions quickly and
correctly. Sound decision making ability stands
at the center of executive leadership and
    Assouline understands it well.
  • He knows that any decision to be successfully
implemented needs active cooperation and support
of the employees. His strong people skills and
sound communication skills have helped him to be
    highly successful as a leader.

9
Great Leaders Act as an Empowering Force
  • Exceptionally great leaders understand that
organization is all about people. Motivated
employees, who have a belief in your vision, will
always strive to give the best for the
    organization.
  • The trick, therefore, lies in developing a work
culture where employees feel that they are one
and working for a single cause. They should have
this feeling that their contribution is important
for the overall growth and development of the
    organization.
  • Employees should be made to understand that the
work they are doing is important and it is most
likely to have an impact on how the organization
functions and manages to meet the expectations of
    its clients.

10
  • Good leaders have the big picture in mind.
Exceptional leaders ensure that their employees
too see the bigger picture and give their best to
    make a success of it.
  • Daniel Assouline is a leader who has the
willingness and the experience to remove every
obstacles along the way, so that the employees
can contribute to their best ability and always
exceed the expectations of the clients.
