Rob Darnbrough President / Insurance and Estate
Planning Advisor Rob is president and founding
member of Westward Advisors. Rob started Westward
in 1997 with an innovative approach to
insurance-based tax and estate planning
strategies. Rob specializes in advanced markets
for both individuals and company shareholders.
Robs extensive knowledge of insurance products
and underwriting processes has positioned him as
a leading advisor in insurance-based tax and
estate planning. Rob has 17 years experience as
an advisor in the insurance industry. He is a
member of the Society of Trust and Estate
Practitioners, the Financial Advisors Association
of Canada, and the Canadian Association of Family
Enterprise. Rob is an avid snowboarder and plays
soccer competitively. Rob is married with two
young sons.

Pierre Cloutier Insurance and Estate Planning
Advisor Pierre Cloutier began his career as a
life underwriter in 1980. He established himself
within the business community in particular,
where he developed a client base of entrepreneurs
who benefited from the progressive and
forward-thinking financial concepts he proposed
to them. His career path since then has
demonstrated his ability to analyze complex
financial situations and recommend solutions
tailored to his clients expectations. Pierre is
a member of CALU, an association represented by
the best professionals in the industry. Pierre
has always had a close relationship with nature.
For relaxation, he enjoys almost any activity
that connects him to that environment, but he
gets his greatest satisfaction from mountain
trekking.

Tax Specialists
Wayne Stone, CA, CFP, TEP, CLU VP, Planning
Finance Wayne specializes in personal and
corporate tax and estate planning and has an
expert understanding of the Income Tax Act as it
applies to the use of life insurance in estate
planning. Waynes professional memberships
include the Canadian Institute of Chartered
Accountants, the Society of Trust and Estate
Practitioners, the Financial Planners Standards
Council, the Canadian Tax Foundation, and the
Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU).

Wayne was appointed to the CALU Tax Policy Group
committee dealing with the leading taxation
issues affecting life insurance planning in
Canada and supporting CALUs consultations with
the Canada Revenue Agency and the Department of
Finance. Wayne has over 20 years experience in
the financial services sector. Wayne is
originally from Montreal, and holds a Bachelors
degree in Commerce from Concordia University. He
started his career as a Chartered Accountant for
public accounting firms in Vancouver, Toronto and
Montreal. Wayne balances mental fitness and
agility with the physical activity of running
half marathons and downhill skiing. Wayne is
married with a daughter.

Paul Biln, CA Tax Senior Manager Paul leads a
multi-disciplinary team of tax professionals. He
is responsible for creating tax and estate plans
for clients. Paul received his CA Designation in
2004 and has completed his CICA In-Depth tax
courses along with the CICA Corporate
Reorganizations tax course. He has worked as a
Tax Manager at Deloitte and most recently was at
Mackay as a Tax Manager. Paul enjoys both playing
and watching sports in his spare time. He also
enjoys travelling and has visited many places
throughout North America, Europe, South East Asia
and the Middle East. Paul participates in Dress
for Success, an organization designed to promote
the economic independence of disadvantaged women.
