Many of the average Seahawk fans may have not
even known who Golden Tate was when he came on
the scene in 2010, but after a 64 catch, 898 YD
and 5 TD season. Leading the team in every one of
those categories, now I think they know who is
is, pretty well. With the free agency mish mash
gone crazy, this signing was a great unpredicted
snag for the Detroit Lions. He brings in
versatility and speed to be a sensational 2nd
option to Calvin Johnson.
Some may feel that Tate is an unestablished
player, with just 165 catches in his first 4
seasons with the Hawks, and no 1000 YD seasons,
but keep in mind, Seattle is a run first team,
behind Marshawn Lynch that doesnt throw the ball
much. They only attempted 25 pass attempts a game
last year, with a QB who also is quick to bolt
from the pocket. So with that in mind, how is it
achievable for Tate to rack up a load of yards
receiving? Tate is a play maker. and what he
brings to the Lions will be a quality to be a
Percy Harvin-esque style. With his impressive
hands, he catches everything thrown in his
direction. This was without a doubt a good
signing. He will be a powerful WR2 that will give
the team a great player for many sets. Hes
strong and physical, and is be able to get
separation.

What is it going to take for Warriors to win the
NBA title?
The Warriors play on the road has been decent,
winning 24 games during the season, and they have
been strong enough to hold their own. But when
playing against the best on the league, they have
been not fared well in the win column, away from
the home court in the Oracle Arena.
Obviously, playing in the West is a whole new
world, and they won 51 games. Which alone in
itself is a compliment, to any one team. In the
much weaker, East they would have been top 3
likely with 55 wins. Instead, for them, they
came into the NBA playoffs a 6th seed, as a team
that has players like Stephen Curry and Klay
Thompson both of whom are top notch deep ball
terrors in the league. Curry dropping 24 a game
and Klay, 18.

Its almost here, that wonderful time of the
off-season, we all look forward to like a special
holiday for grown ups, NFL draft day. I know I am
as excited as you are, waiting to see who my team
is going to grab in the 1st round, who can we
sneak out in the 3rd, and make it all come
together. This HAS to be the year, right?
Draft season, brings everyone together as a unit,
like a load of team colored, jersey wearing
soldiers, to cheer, jeer, moan and groan at who
picks up who, and who passes on who. Will your
team be drafting who you are hoping for, or will
they let you down? Its a day, where we all are
GMs of our teams, and looking at who we think our
teams should be drafting. With all the teams and
their hopes in the offseason, bad teams try to
get better, teams like Cleveland and St. Louis
are thought to be instantly teams that are
expecting a great turnaround from last year
simply from having 2 picks in the 1st round. But
not so fast, it all comes out in the wash during
the upcoming season.

Watch This Week
The Western Conference playoffs in the NHL are
notable for the fact that in each of them, the
higher seed has won each of the first two games
at home. Thats not very typical for the NHL
playoffs.
NHL Western Conference Playoffs, First Round,
Game 4 St. Louis Blues _at_ Chicago Blackhawks
(Wednesday)   The Blues lead the series, 2-0, but
they will very likely be without David Backes,
who was concussed when he absorbed a violent and
illegal hit from Chicagos Brent Seabrook in Game
2 of the series on Saturday. Seabrook wont play
this game because he has been suspended through
Game 5 for the hit. It will be interesting to see
which team suffers more without an important
player.

Johnny Manziel is the quarterback thats ready
for the NFL
Johnny Manziel is coming off of one of the most
intriguing seasons in college history. With 4114
yards passing, 37 TD passes, rushing the ball for
759 yards and 9 scores as well. for a whopping
total of 46 TDs this season for Texas AM. His
numbers at Texas AM place him in the WOW
category as far as collegiate athletes go.
Winning the Heisman trophy in 2012 after a
phenomenal freshman season, where he took
everyone by storm.
He played excellent against some of the best
competition as well. Putting up numbers that most
other QBs would love to have had half the success
against. His game vs Auburn when he was
spectacular, putting up 454 in the air, and 5
total TDs in a heart-breaker, where his defense
let him down again. Manziel put up astounding
numbers against top SEC competition, where as
most struggled vs the best conference in college
football.
