Meir Panim is a non-profit organization that is
dedicated to providing much needed relief to
those citizens of Israel currently suffering from
disheartening poverty, through the design and
implementation of programs such as Free
Restaurants, Meals on Wheels, Meals for Children,
Employment Horizons, Food Shopping Cards, and
After School Youth Clubs. They understand that
children are more susceptible to the effects of
poverty due to their inability to provide for
themselves and their reliance on their loved ones.

term relief to the impoverished population of
Israel. Israel is in a state of ongoing and
increasing poverty, with 21 of its population
currently suffering from economic hardships.
According to the most recent statistics made
available by Israels National Insurance
Institute, 1,658,200 people are currently living
below the poverty line. Of this number, 756,900
are children who are unable to provide for
themselves and must rely on others for their
nutrition.

relief to every citizen of Israel living in
poverty.

is truly dedicated to providing support to the
ever growing impoverished population of Israel.
According to the most recent statistics provided
by Israels National Insurance Institute,
1,658,200 people are living below the poverty
line.
Of these 1,658,200 people, a staggering 756,900
are children who are unable to provide for
themselves a better life. One out of every three
Israeli children is suffering from hunger, one
out of every four people is living in poverty
overall, and one out of every five elderly
citizens is in need of immediate medical
assistance.
