• We began Pre Med 1 on the island of Bonaire in
  September of
• 2009. We had one grand vision of becoming
  physicians.
• There were many things along and in the way
  life
• experiences, negative influences, endless nights
  of studying
• for exams, hurricanes, USMLE Step 1, the
  struggles of
• maturing into young and responsible adults,
  dance
• performances, soccer matches, harsh attendings,
  USMLE Step
• 2, anxiety, needle pricks and month long courses
  of
• debilitating anti-retrovirals, overly frequent
  travelling,
• residency applications, uncertainty The list
  can go on
• forever.

• We were simply dedicated and disciplined.
• We have seen the miraculous healing abilities of
  the human
• body and can not overlook the power of the mind.
• When all else failed, we leaned on each other for
  support. We
• made sure to grow stronger together.
• We are privileged to be physicians.

• Our professors and preceptors have passed the
