  • A Shoulder Tear Injury is quite common and can be
    a result of injury to your arm or shoulder, a
    whiplash injury, excessive weight lifting over a
    long period of time, accidents, repetitive
    overhead movement of arms, injury while involved
    in contact sports or simple age related wear and
    tear.
  • A shoulder tear, also known as Rotator Cuff Tear
    can be quite painful and lead the most mobile
    joint of the human body to immobility.

While the answer to a shoulder tear injury could
be surgery in case of severe damage to the
muscles and tendons that make the rotator cuff,
if the injury is not severe, Physiotherapy can
decrease your pain and suffering to a large

Some Commonly observed Symptoms of Shoulder Tear
Injury are -
  • You feel continuous pain in the shoulder.
  • You have a swelling around the shoulder joint.
  • Your sleep is disturbed if you are sleeping on
    the affected shoulder.
  • Your arm is painful when to try to do mundane
    tasks like combing your hair.
  • You feel a general weakness in your shoulder.
  • You have a popping or clicking in your shoulder.

    pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs, steroid
    tablets or injections, Physiotherapy, Shoulder
    Tear Exercises or surgery.
  • Which method will be right for you will be
    decided by your doctor once they do a thorough
    examination of your condition.
  • It has been observed though that in case of
    non-serious shoulder tear injuries, Physiotherapy
    can provide pain relief quite effectively.
