Steps to Polish a Granite Countertop

1. Gather the necessary materials

1. Clean, soft cotton clothes,
2. Water in a cup or spray bottle
3. Stone cleaner
4. Granite polish
5. Granite sealer

2. Clean the granite countertop thoroughly

1. Clean the granite countertop with a cleaning
   product designed specifically for stone.
2. Follow the directions provided by the
   manufacturer.
3. Allow cleaner it to sit for a minute before
   wiping the counter with a clean, soft cloth.

3. Apply a granite polish to the granite
countertop

1. After cleaning of countertop, apply a
   high-quality granite polish.
2. Spray the polish on the countertop and spread it
   evenly over the surface.
3. After few minutes, gently buff the granite
   countertop with a lint-free cotton cloth.

Test the granite countertops seal

1. Spray a little water in a small area.
2. If the water forms into beads on the countertops
   surface, the seal is intact.
3. If the water penetrates the stone, darkening it,
   then it is time to reseal the stone.

5. Protect the granite countertop by resealing
it

1. Spray a thin layer of granite sealer on a small
   section of the countertop.
2. Wipe the surface immediately with a lint-free
   cloth
3. Allowing the sealer to dry on the surface may
   cause hazing.
4. Buff the area with a clean cotton cloth.
5. Continue the process until the entire countertop
   has been resealed.
