Global seafood production has grown steadily in
the last five decades and since 2007 till date,
its production has been growing at a CAGR of

started in the 1970s, but the production was very
low at just 13,000 tons by 1980. However, in the
following years, the global production of
salmonids has shown an increasing trend.
