• There are two modules of the IELTS Exam they are
  
• IELTS Academic Test
• IELTS General Test
• Based on your chosen institution requirement, we
  recommend you to find which version of the exam
  you need to do.
• The IELTS test (both Academic and General
  Training modules) is divided into four parts
  Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

• Academic IELTS format is designed for candidates
  who wish to study or train in an English-speaking
  university or institution of higher or further
  education.
• As well as professionals where English is the
  medium of instruction.

Academic Listening Test

• Test Consists 4 sections
• Time Given 30 minutes 10 minutes
  extra to transfer your answers to your answer
  sheet.
• No of Questions 40 items
• Questions Type A variety of question types is
  used. Questions types that you will see will
  usually come from the following list
• A. Multiple choice
• B. Short answer
• C. Sentence completion
• D. Notes/diagram/flow chart completion

Academic Reading Test

• Test Consists 3 sections
• Time Given 60 minutes only
• No of Questions 40 items
• Questions Type Texts are taken from
  magazines, journals, books and newspapers. A
  short glossary will be provided if candidates are
  unware of any words or would not be expected to
  know.

Academic Writing Test

• Test Consists 2 Tasks
• Time Given 60 minutes
• Questions Type Task 1, Task 2
• Task 1 The candidate has to summarise, explain
  or describe a diagram, graph, process or chart.
• Task 2 The candidate has to respond to an
  argument in a short essay of at least 250 words.

Academic Speaking Test

• Test Consists 3 Sections
• Time Given 11 - 14 minutes
• No of Questions 3 Tasks
• Questions Type
• Task 1 - Introduction Interview ( 3-4 min )
• Task 2 - Individual Long Turn ( 3-4 min )
• Task 3 Two-way discussion ( 4-5 min )
• Speaking test is Recorded

  for both Academic General Ielts.

General Reading Test

• Test Consists 3 sections
• Time Given 60 minutes only
• No of Questions 40 items
• Questions Type Texts are taken from
  advertisements, magazines, journals, books and
  newspapers. Texts become progressively harder.

General Writing Test

• Test Consists 2 Tasks
• Time Given 60 minutes
• Questions Type Task 1, Task 2
• Task 1 The candidate has a letter writing task
  of at least 150 words.
• Task 2 The candidate has a short essay task of
  at least 250 words.

IELTS Band Score
Candidates receive band score from 1 to 9 on each
of the 4 modules Listening, Reading, Writing and
Speaking. Overall Band Score is the result of the
average of these 4 scores which has been rounded
to the nearest whole or half band.
