Title: Fly Ash in Concrete

1
Fly Ash in Concrete
  • Flyash Suppliers are one of trustworthy, reliable
best fly ash suppliers. We focus only on
applying the advanced technology in order to
process fly ash that is used in high-value
commercial applications instead of being disposed
    of in landfills.

2
Overview Fly Ash
  • A byproduct of coal-fired electric generating
plants, i.e. Fly Ash. It is produced from burning
pulverized coal in electric power generating
plants. They are of spherical shaped balls than
    cement particles.
  • During the process of combustion, there are
mineral impurities in the coal blend in
suspension. It floats out of the combustion of
the chamber with exhaust gasses. It is collected
from exhaust gasses by bag filters.
  • The fine powder resembles Portland cement,
nevertheless, it is chemically different. It also
reacts with byproduct calcium hydroxide that is
released by a chemical reaction between water
    cement.
  • The fine fly ash is delivered by one of the best
fly ash suppliers in India TRADESATE Overseas
    Pvt. Ltd.

3
Types of Fly Ash
  • Fly ash is divided into residues as resulting
from the combustion of powdered coal. It is
usually captured from the chimneys of coal-fired
    power plant.
  • Fine Fly Ash also has pozzolanic properties.
Sometimes, it is blended with cement for some
reason. There are two types of fly ash that are
    commonly used i.e. Class C Class F.
  • The product includes enough amount of SiO2
    (silicon dioxide) Calcium oxide (CaO).
  • However, it also includes toxic constituents such
as boron, arsenic, chromium, cadmium, lead,
    manganese, thallium, etc.

4
Class F Fly Ash
  • Class F fly ash is produced through the burning
of harder bituminous coal. Typically, fly ash is
pozzolanic in nature. It also contains lt10 lime
    CaO.
  • In Class F, there is glassy silica alumina as
it requires the cementing agent like Quicklime,
Portland cement or hydrated lime. It is designed
    in ASTM 618.
  • Class F fly ash has a lower amount of calcium
    than Class C.

5
Class C Fly Ash
  • Another type of fly ash- Class C is produced from
    burning sub-bituminous coal. It has
    self-cementing pozzolanic properties.
  • When Class C fly ash contacts with water, it will
    harden gain strength over time.
  • Generally, it contains more than 20 lime (CaO).
Alike, Class F fly ash, the self-cementing Class
C does not require any activator. The higher
contents in Class C fly ash are alkali and
    sulfate (SO4).

Use Of Fly Ash In Concrete
  • The use fly ash in concrete has dramatically
increased in the last 20 years. You can get fine
high volume product from the high volume fly
    ash suppliers company.
  • For economic ecological benefits, the
utilization of fly ash in concrete enhances its
workability, plus it lessens segregation, heat
    evolution permeability. It also improves
    sulfate resistance.
