Cold Ingredients Make The Perfect Flaky Dough
Not only butter, but all ingredients used should
be cold. Using cold ingredients gives you very
flaky dough that is just what you need. In

from developing in the flour. It also becomes
easier to get the perfect dough, crumbly and dry.
If its too dry, add some chilled water.

Add Minimum Water
If the dough looks a bit dry, it is okay to add

tips instead of the palms of your hands. Palms
are warmer so can soften the dough a bit. You

If the dough seems to be a little tender or soft,
then refrigerate it for 20-30 minutes before
baking. Flatten the dough in form a disk, cover
it with wax paper or butter paper and let it

Flour the countertop lightly before rolling the
dough it keeps the dough from sticking. Place
the rolling pin in the centre of the dough disk
and roll it away from you. As you go rolling
toward the edges, lower the pressure to give the
same thickness throughout the center and edges of
the dough. Roll the pin in all four directions
away and toward you, left and right for equal
thickness.
