- To close your Hotmail email account, visit
account.microsoft.com and login with the Hotmail
account you want to delete. Click the Security
privacy tab, and then click the More security
settings link. Scroll down and click Close my
account, then follow the prompts to delete your
Hotmail account.

Go to Hotmail's home page.

- Log in to your Hotmail account. Type in your
user name and password and click "Sign In."

- Click on your account name and click "Account
Settings".

- Select "Close account." This is the option on
the very bottom of the page

- Verify your identity. Confirm that your
Hotmail email address is entered correctly and
type in your password.

- Click "Deactivate your Hotmail account."
